Pre-Purchase Equipment Inspection
Professional pre-purchase inspection of CNC machines, manufacturing equipment, inspection equipment, and other industrial machinery by Centurion Precision.
Before purchasing used equipment, our pre-purchase inspection service provides an independent assessment of the machine's observable condition, operation, and general functionality to help you make a more informed purchasing decision.
Depending on the machine and scope of inspection, our technician may evaluate the equipment's overall physical condition, mechanical components, controls, spindle operation, axis movement, lubrication systems, visible wear, basic machine functions, and other accessible systems. Available maintenance records, service history, operating hours, and supporting documentation may also be reviewed when provided.
Service Duration & Pricing
Pre-purchase inspections are subject to a 2-hour minimum at $375 per hour ($750 minimum). Additional inspection time is billed at $250 per hour and may be purchased in 30-minute increments at $125.
The amount of time required depends on the type, size, complexity, condition, and accessibility of the equipment being inspected. Please provide the machine manufacturer, model, serial number, location, and available documentation before scheduling.
Inspection Report
Following the inspection, Centurion Precision may provide a summary of observations and identified concerns based on the scope of service purchased. Any specific written report, measurement documentation, testing, or additional evaluation requirements should be communicated before the inspection.
Travel & Equipment Location
Travel time is not included in the inspection service rate. Travel time and applicable mileage, parking, tolls, lodging, airfare, or other travel-related expenses may be billed separately depending on the equipment location. Applicable travel charges will be confirmed prior to scheduling.
Additional Testing
Specialized testing, machine geometry verification, calibration, ball-bar testing, laser measurement, inspection equipment, specialty tooling, rigging, materials, or outside services are not included unless specifically agreed upon and may require additional charges.
Important Inspection Information
A pre-purchase inspection represents the condition and operation of the equipment that can reasonably be observed and evaluated at the time of inspection. The inspection is not a warranty, certification, appraisal, or guarantee of the machine's present or future condition, accuracy, reliability, remaining service life, or fitness for a particular application.
Certain internal components, intermittent faults, hidden defects, or conditions that cannot reasonably be identified without disassembly or specialized testing may not be detectable during a standard inspection.
Purchasing decisions remain the responsibility of the customer.
After purchase, a Centurion Precision representative will review the equipment information and inspection requirements and contact you to confirm the scope, location, and scheduling of the inspection.
