Professional prototype-to-production manufacturing review from Centurion Precision for customers preparing a component or product for CNC manufacturing and production.
Moving from a prototype or initial design into repeatable production often requires more than simply machining the existing design. Centurion Precision can review your component, drawings, CAD models, prototypes, and production requirements from a manufacturing perspective to help identify opportunities for more efficient, reliable, and cost-effective production.
Depending on the project and requested scope, the review may include design for manufacturability (DFM), material considerations, tolerance evaluation, machining strategy, feature accessibility, tooling considerations, workholding requirements, inspection requirements, production quantities, repeatability, and potential opportunities to simplify manufacturing or reduce production costs.
Service Duration & Pricing
Prototype-to-production manufacturing reviews start at $300 for the first hour. Additional engineering and manufacturing review time is billed at $300 per hour and may be billed in 30-minute increments at $150.
The time required depends on part complexity, number of components, drawing requirements, tolerance requirements, production quantities, and the amount of documentation provided.
Project Information
Customers should provide available engineering drawings, CAD models, prototype information, material requirements, anticipated production quantities, tolerance requirements, and any known manufacturing concerns before the review.
Design Recommendations
Centurion Precision may identify manufacturing considerations or recommend design changes intended to improve manufacturability, consistency, inspection accessibility, or production efficiency.
Recommendations are provided from a manufacturing perspective. Detailed product engineering, engineering analysis, regulatory approval, certification, or complete product redesign is not included unless specifically agreed upon as part of the project scope.
Manufacturing Quote
Following the review, Centurion Precision may provide a separate quotation for prototyping, CNC machining, inspection, or production of applicable components based on the finalized manufacturing requirements.
Important Service Information
The purchase covers engineering and manufacturing review time and does not include CNC programming, production tooling, fixtures, materials, machining, inspection, prototypes, or production parts unless specifically included in a separate quotation.
After purchase, a Centurion Precision representative will review the submitted project information and contact you to coordinate the manufacturing review.
Professional reverse engineering and precision part measurement services from Centurion Precision for existing components, replacement parts, prototypes, and manufactured products.
When an original drawing or CAD model is unavailable, incomplete, or no longer accurate, Centurion Precision can evaluate and measure an existing component to help establish the dimensional information required for reproduction, modification, or future manufacturing.
Depending on the component and requested scope, services may include dimensional measurement, CMM inspection, feature and geometry evaluation, tolerance assessment, material and manufacturing consideration, comparison of multiple samples, and collection of dimensional data required to support reconstruction of the component.
Service Duration & Pricing
Reverse engineering and part measurement services start at $300 for the first hour. Additional engineering and measurement time is billed at $300 per hour and may be billed in 30-minute increments at $150.
The time required depends on part complexity, number of features, required accuracy, condition of the sample, measurement requirements, available documentation, and requested deliverables. Complex components or assemblies may require a custom quotation.
CAD Models & Engineering Drawings
Creation of production-ready CAD models, engineering drawings, detailed tolerance specifications, or other engineering documentation is not automatically included in the basic measurement service unless specifically identified in the agreed scope of work. These deliverables may require additional engineering time or a separate quotation.
Customer-Supplied Samples
Customers should provide the physical component to be evaluated along with any available drawings, CAD files, specifications, photographs, application information, or other relevant documentation.
Worn, damaged, modified, or previously repaired components may not represent their original design dimensions. When applicable, Centurion Precision will evaluate available information and discuss any assumptions required to reconstruct the component.
Manufacturing Services
If replacement components are required, Centurion Precision can review the reconstructed part for manufacturability and provide a separate quotation for CNC machining, prototyping, inspection, or production when applicable.
Important Service Information
Reverse engineering involves evaluation and interpretation of the physical component and information provided by the customer. Measurement of an existing part does not establish the original manufacturer's design intent, tolerances, material specifications, or performance requirements unless those requirements can be independently verified.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights and authorization to reproduce or modify any component submitted for reverse engineering.
After purchase, a Centurion Precision representative will review your component and project requirements and contact you to confirm the scope, required deliverables, and next steps.
One-hour consultation with Centurion Precision to review your product, part design, or manufacturing requirements.
Our team will evaluate your project from a manufacturing perspective and provide guidance on design for manufacturability (DFM), material selection, tolerances, machining methods, production considerations, and potential cost-saving improvements.
Ideal for customers developing new components, improving existing designs, or preparing a product for CNC machining and production.
Drawings, CAD files, specifications, and other relevant project information may be submitted for review prior to the consultation.
Includes up to 1 hour of engineering and manufacturing consultation. Additional time may be purchased in 1-hour increments.
Consultation fees cover engineering/review time and do not include manufacturing, programming, tooling, inspection, prototyping, or production costs unless specifically stated.
